Currently, Patrick is the Academic Director for Foundation Studies, Graphic Design, Web Design & Interactive Media at The Art Institute of California—Sunnyvale, and is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration degree researching marketing and innovation.
Patrick is a creative professional who has held positions at Apple, Hill & Knowlton (a WPP Group company), and Charles P. Rogers & Co. He has extensive experience leading global design teams in print, video, presentation, branding, environmental, event, and interactive design. Patrick’s experience crosses virtually all business sectors including finance and business services, energy and power, technology, educational institutes, philanthropic and nonprofit services, healthcare & pharmaceuticals, and consumer marketing.
Prior to relocating to California in 2009, Patrick was the Creative Services Manager at the New York global headquarters for Hill & Knowlton, one of the world’s largest international communications consultancies with 80 offices in 44 countries. At Hill & Knowlton Patrick worked in a strategic capacity to partner with clients as a trusted advisor, developing creative solutions to drive results and solve even the most challenging design problems.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Studies from Eugene Lang College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography & Related Media from Parsons School of Design, and a Master of Arts degree in Media Studies and Management from The New School.
Patrick is an active member of AIGA, The Art Directors Club, D&AD, and SEGD. He regularly attends organizational workshops, conferences, and forums. Patrick also works with creative and technology industry leaders to help develop, beta test products, and provide strategic insight for Adobe Systems, Apple, Canon, Epson, HP, Pantone, Sling Media, Pantone, and X-Rite.
